So you’ve seen a million weddings, a million slow motion hair flicks (which are great btw), the same drone shots of the lavish estates. But none of them quite seem like the wedding you want. Because maybe what you want is something elegant, timeless, unique and that looks how memory works.

That’s where we come in! The Memory Mill is an events videography company specialising on bringing your day to life, with use of those warm home movie techniques. From 8mm film to 35mm Photography, we are all about creating memories that last. Love is a special thing, and it needs a special medium and that’s our speciality. The Memory Mill, doing your special day, the home movie way.

We shoot on real Kodak motion picture film, so your wedding video has the warm, grainy glow of an old home movie. It's a look digital cameras can’t quite copy, and it's why so many couples tell us their film feels like a memory rather than a video.

Super 8 has been around since 1965 and it still looks good. We think your film will feel just as special in thirty years as it does the day you get it.

Film runs out, so we don’t film everything. We watch your day closely and save it for the moments you'll want to see again, like the confetti or a look across the room.

Super 8 is a motion picture film format released in 1965 by Kodak. It is the type of film that we use to capture your wedding day. The "8mm" refers to the width of the film. And the "Super" shows that it is a higher resolution than its predecessor.
Super 8 replaced the older "Regular 8" format in 1965. Both use 8mm-wide film, but Super 8 uses smaller sprocket holes, which leaves more room for the picture on the same strip of film. That gives a noticeably bigger, sharper image. That improvement over the original 8mm format is where the "Super" comes from.
Those little black squares you can see along the edge of the frame are the sprocket holes (or perforations) in the film. These are the small rectangular holes that run along the edge of the film strip. They're what the camera's mechanical drive grips onto to advance the film forward one frame at a time. When a Super 8 film is scanned, the scanner sometimes captures slightly beyond the image area, making these holes visible at the edge of the picture. These can be easily removed if you do not want them.
Our packages are a great outline, but we can be flexible to get the best out of your special day. If you need more filming time, less, or any additional extras let us know and we can try to make it happen.
This depends on your chosen package. Our Essential package delivers a 3-5 minute film, the Complete package provides 8-12 minutes, and the Luxury package offers 15-20 minutes of edited footage.
Absolutely! We are based in London, but we provide Super 8 wedding videography services throughout England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. If you are further afield please enquire to see if we can help!
Travel costs are included within London. However, travel costs are not included for locations outside of the London area.
